The playoffs are off to a roaring start in Canada’s British Columbia Hockey League. The teams we picked to advance went 5-3 in the first games of their series. There are seven games set for tonight.

Chilliwack Chiefs at Prince George Spruce Kings - The good folks in PG got downright salty when we picked the Chiefs to take this on. So far so good.  Chilliwack wins!

Surrey Eagles at Langley Rivermen – Good game Friday night with the Riv coming up just a bit short. I don’t see that happening again tonight. Langley wins!

Powell River Kings at Nanaimo Clippers – The Kings made it look easy last night, taking game one 4-1 at Nanaimo. I’m thinking that’s the foghorn needed to get the Clips back on track. Nanaimo wins.

Coquitlam Express at Penticton Vees – The Express kept game one close, eventually falling 2-1. The Vess hit the gas tonight. Penticton wins.

Merritt Centennials at Wenatchee Wild – The Wild looked great in last night’s 4-0 game one shutout win at home. Look for more of the same tonight. Wenatchee wins.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks at Vernon Vipers – I expected a bit more of a fight from the Silverbacks. Look for that to happen tonight but it’s not going to be enough. Vernon Wins.

West Kelowna Warriors at Trail Smoke Eaters – The Smokies took a wide-open game one in overtime. I see a lot of lamplighting going on tonight as well. Trail wins.
