This week, the JuniorHockey.Com USHL Goalie of the Week is the Muskegon Lumberjacks’ Brandon Bussi. Technically, the selection is for both this past week’s performance in addition to the Fall Classic, played –September, 27th-30th. To this point, Brandon Has played in all four Lumberjack games to earn a .940 save percentage. Muskegon has yet to suffer a loss thanks to Bussi’s net-minding.
This past weekend Bussi faced a total of 65 shots over a span of two games against the Youngstown Phantoms. Only in the first game (Friday night) did he allow goal. He remained unbeatable the remainder of the game to earn his team the victory. His terrific performance was followed by a shutout on Saturday whereby Muskegon soundly defeated Youngstown 3-0.
Brandon Bussi (20) is from Sound Beach, NY. He spent his youth playing for the PAL Junior Islanders. Prior to the Muskegon Lumberjacks, Bussi spent time in the NAHL with the Amarillo Bulls and the New Jersey Jr. Titans. Brandon has committed to play for St. Lawrence University in 2019.
