Brookings 3 @ Aberdeen 5 – The Wings scored three goals in the 2nd period to break open a 1-1 tie as they beat the Blizzard on Wednesday night, 5-3. Nic Sicoly scored twice, which included the first two goals of the game for the Wings. Other Wings goals came from John Sladic and Brad Belisle in the 2nd period and Tim Makowski in the 3rd period. The Blizzard got two goals from Gabe Wahl and another from Vince Marino. Matt Vernon made 24 saves in the win, while Jack Caruso made 44 saves in the loss.
MN Magicians 2 @ MN Wilderness 0 – In the battle of Minnesota rivals, Magicians goaltender Jack Robbel once again stole the show, posting his second consecutive shutout as he made 41 saves in a 2-0 win on the road against the Wilderness. It was Robbel’s third shutout of November. After a scoreless 1st period, the Magicians got on the board in the 2nd period with the eventual game-winning goal from Andrew Kruse. John Keranen added a power play goal late in the 3rd period to secure the win. Wilderness goalie Ryan Fanti made 24 saves in the loss.
Maryland 4 @ Johnstown 8 – Eight different players scored and the Tomahawks went 4 for 5 on the power play to pick up their 13th straight win thanks to an 8-2 win on Wednesday over the Black Bears. Things were tight through the first two periods as Johnstown led 3-2 with goals from Carson Briere, Oliver Benwell, and Mitchell Hale, while Maryland’s goals came from Jack Rudin and Lukas Ljungblom. The Tomahawks blew the game open with five goals in the 3rd period from Cameron Hebert, Samuel Solensky, Pavel Kharin, Andy Nedeljkovic, and Chris Trouba. Cooper Lukenda made 32 saves in the win, while Kevin Lake made 35 saves in the loss.
Shreveport 2 @ Lone Star 1 (SO) – The Mudbugs got a late goal in regulation and then took the extra point in the shootout to come-from-behind to win at Lone Star on Wednesday, 2-1. After a scoreless 1st period, the Brahmas got on the board early in the 2nd period with Michal Stinil’s 8th goal of the season. With under two minutes to go in regulation, Andrew Jackson tied the game for the Mudbugs. After a scoreless overtime, the Mudbugs got the only goal of the shootout as Jay Feiwell scored the lone marker. Leo Chuard made 24 saves in the win, while Harrison Feeney took the loss, making 22 saves.
Corpus Christi 5 @ Odessa 2 – Two goals from Blake Bennett led the IceRays to a 5-2 road win in Odessa on Wednesday night. The Jacks opened the scoring just a minute into the game with a goal from James Crossman. From there, the IceRys scored four straight goals to take a 4-1 lead, including a goal late in the 1st period from Aleksi Peltonen, two goals in the 2nd period from Matthew Headland and Bennett, and then Bennett again early in the 3rd period. Odessa made it 4-2 with a goal from Vaclav Zidek in the 3rd period, but a late goal from Jake Stella for the IceRays secured the win. IceRays goalie Florian Mnich made 33 saves in the win, while Alex Camarre took the loss with 19 saves.
